N2 - Dispersionselemente oder Gitter werden eingesetzt, um Spektren nichtfarbiger
Bilder zu erzeugen. Im Experiment müssen dazu bestimmte apparative bzw. optische
Bedingungen erfüllt werden. Eine dieser Bedingungen der Entstehung von Spektren
ist der Kontrast der nichtfarbigen Bilder. Es soll in diesem Artikel gezeigt werden,
dass der Kontrast keine hinreichende Bedingung der Farbentstehung ist und im
Experiment durch die Herstellung bestimmter Abbildungsverhältnisse Bedingungen
geschaffen werden können, die das Entstehen von Spektren an Hell-Dunkel-
Kontrasten vollkommen verhindern. Es gibt daher neben dem Bildkontrast eine
weitere notwendige Bedingung, die als Abbildungsbedingung bezeichnet werden
kann, damit Spektralfarben entstehen können.

Certain experimental conditions have to be fulfilled for the apparatus or optical
configuration. One such condition for producing spectra is the contrast of the
colourless pictures. This paper shows that contrast alone is not a sufficient condition
for colours to appear and that conditions can be created experimentally with certain
imaging relationships that completely inhibit the appearance of spectra from light-dark
contrasts. Thus, besides a picture‘s contrast there is a further necessary condition for
making spectral colours arise. This is nameable as imaging condition.
