Der Artikel diskutiert den Einfluss der fr{\"u}hzeitigen Entlaubung durch Sch{\"a}dlingsbefall mit ihren Auswirkungen auf den Kohlestoffhaushalt, sowie die Auswirkungen anderer Umweltfaktoren auf den Vitalit{\"a}tsverlust der B{\"a}ume. Die Rolle der Rosskastanie in Pharmazie und Kosmetik wird von historischen Anwendungen {\"u}ber phytotherapeutische Aspekte bis zu Gesichtspunkten der Anthroposophischen Medizin dargestellt.

In this article, the correlation between loss of vitality and premature defoliation as well as other environmental factors is discussed. Premature defoliation caused by pests is considered to be linked to carbon balance.
