A year after her serious illness was first diagnosed, Margaret Colquhoun crossed the threshold peacefully in her home, as she had wished, at 2.20pm on Thursday 3rd August 2017. Her final months had generally been com fortable and she received wonderful help and support from close friends, neighbours, the NHS, and some private care. A Christian Community funeral service and burial took place on Sunday 13th August in the walled garden adjoining her home in Craigie Lodge. - For decades Margaret worked closely with the science section and as part of the section collegium.
