Der Begriff {\guillemotleft}Metamorphose{\guillemotright} hat in der Botanik an Bedeutung verloren. Auch inhaltlich ist der Begriff d{\"u}nn geworden. Gleichzeitig mit der zweiten Auflage der {\guillemotleft}Metamorphose der Pflanzen{\guillemotright} ver{\"o}ffentlichte Voigt 1817 die erste Abbildung zur Illustration von Goethes Urpflanze. Es gab in meiner Biographie drei entscheidende Momente, die mich veranlassten, mich intensiv mit den Metamorphosen der Pflanzen zu befassen, nach Antworten zu suchen und mich ermutigten weiter zu machen. Das f{\"u}hrte zu einem neuen Modell f{\"u}r die Urpflanze und zwar zum Modell einer mehrj{\"a}hrigen Pflanze. An diesem lassen sich die Zusammenh{\"a}nge zwischen vegetativer Knospe und Bl{\"u}tenknospe deutlich erkennen. Eine solche Erweiterung der Metamorphosenlehre kann zu einer Aktualisierung des Konzeptes in der Botanik beitragen.

When in 1817, the second edition of Goethe{'}s {``}Metamorphosis of Plants{''} was released, Voigt published the first drawing of the Goethean Urpflanze as an illustration. In my biography, three crucial moments provoked me to engage with the metamorphosis of plants intensively and to continue seeking for answers. This process initiated a new model of the Urpflanzen, namely the model of a woody plant, which clearly shows corresponding relations between vegetative and flowering buds. Such an extension of the model of metamorphosis can enhance the actualisation of this concept in botany.
