<p>Rudolf Steiner sprach in Vortr{\"a}gen und Fragenbeantwortungen von 1913 bis 1923 wiederholt {\"u}ber das Thema {\guillemotleft}Raum, Zeit und Geschwindigkeit{\guillemotright} und beschrieb dabei eine ihm eigent{\"u}mliche Auffassung von Raum und Zeit, die in der Feststellung gipfelt, dass die Geschwindigkeit das eigentlich Reale ist, aus dem der Mensch im Auffassungsprozess Raum und Zeit durch Abstraktion entwickelt. In diesem Aufsatz wird die N{\"a}he zu bestimmten Begriffsbildungen der speziellen Relativit{\"a}tstheorie herausgearbeitet und dar{\"u}ber hinaus ein qualitativer Geschwindigkeitsbegriff entwickelt, der zun{\"a}chst auf L{\"a}ngen- und Zeitmessungen verzichtet und der die Geschwindigkeit als den sich bewegenden Dingen inh{\"a}rent beschreibt.</p>

<p>Rudolf Steiner repeatedly spoke in lectures and answers to questions from 1913 to 1923 on the subject of {``}space, time and velocity{''}. He described a concept of space and time that was peculiar to him, culminating in the statement that velocity is the actual reality from which man -- during the process of perception -- develops the concepts of space and time by abstraction. In this essay, the proximity of this approach to certain concepts of special relativity will be worked out and, in addition, a qualitative concept of speed will be developed, which initially dispenses with measurements of length and time and which describes speed as inherent feature of moving things.</p>
