Obwohl der Ausdruck {\guillemotleft}Äthergeografie{\guillemotright} oft Verwendung findet, gibt es keine methodische Klarheit bzw. keine systematische Erfassung des Begriffs. Dennoch besteht eine Fülle von verwandten, aber doch unterschiedlichen Ansätzen, welche als Äthergeografie aufgefasst werden können. Sie reichen von goetheanistischen Landschaftsbetrachtungen über die Wahrnehmung des Wesenhaften eines Ortes im Sinne der Geomantie oder Bildekräfteforschung bis zur konkreten ortsspezifischen Kur-Empfehlung von Ärzten an ihre Patienten. Der Aufsatz versucht einen Überblick zu schaffen und, daraus abgeleitet, eine Methodik darzustellen, welche mit Praxisbeispielen unterfüttert wird. Im ersten Teil erfolgt eine Standortanalyse des Themas im Kontext des 21. Jh. Der zweite Teil ist ein Praxisbeispiel und möchte zu der Diskussion beitragen, wie Äthergeografie in ihrer therapeutischen Anwendung fruchtbar gemacht werden könnte. Der dritte Teil stellt einen methodischen Zugang aus der Anthroposophie heraus dar.
Although the term {``}ether geography{''} is often used, there is no methodological clarity or systematic understanding of the term. Nevertheless, there is a wealth of related, but different approaches, which can be understood as ether geography. They range from Goethean landscape observations to the perception of the essence of a place in the sense of geomancy or research into formative forces to concrete, site-specific spa recommendations from medical doctors to their patients. The essay attempts to create an overview and to present a methodology that is supported by practical examples. The first part starts with an analysis of the topic in the context of the 21st century. The second part is a practical example and would like to contribute to the discussion of how ether geography could be made fruitful in its therapeutic application. The third part suggests a methodical approach from anthroposophy.
