Versuchsdesign für Untersuchungen an Pflanzenblättern mit der Methode der Empfindlichen Kristallisation

Elemente der Naturwissenschaft 80, 2004, P. 45-61 | DOI: 10.18756/edn.80.45

Abstract:

Comparative investigations of plants with the method of sensitive crystallisation need to take into consideration the growth conditions and developmental stages of the plants, as these factors markedly codetermine the morphology of the crystallisation pictures. The experimental design presented here attempts to meet this requirement.

The investigations are part of a research project entitled ‘Qualitative investigations on transgenic plants using holistic methods’ and are performed on aqueous extracts of tomato plant leaves. The results show that transgenic lines, compared with each other and with control plants under the controlled conditions of a randomised block trial in a greenhouse, react differently to changes in environmental conditions (temperature and humidity) and that the differences are dependent on the developmental stage of the leaves.
