Abstract:

Natural and spiritual sciences share a number of aspects. The most prominent di- stinction has to do with the focus of attention. The former is oriented towards the outside world, the latter scrutinises the inner soul life. Four fundamental aspects will be outlined and specified for both sciences: wholeness, phenomenological method, formation of hypotheses and theories, participation. The paper ends with an account of a personal spiritual practice and the presentation of preliminary non-sensual experiences. [...]
