Abstract:
In the Warmth Course, Rudolf Steiner characterises a realm of phenomena within the framework of the so-called spectrum of nature which he calls the U-region for short. Its exact characterisation is difficult as he gives relatively few details about it. This paper proposes that the phenomena of the U-region mentioned by Steiner can be assigned to a special area of contemporary solid-state physics, which could be called the “dielectric properties of solids”. Therefore, it can be argued that from the point of view of modern physics, the U-region is a subject of solid-state physics.
