Abstract:
This paper has a starting point, the work of R. E. Hummel (1992) on the sensivity of the copper chloride sensitive crystallization, to a synthetic polymer. The results he obtains contribute to a better understanding of the conditions for the appearence of crystalline aggregates with radial symmetry. However they do not by themselves enable to account for the specific crystalline morphologies, which appear when comparison is made of images obtained with the addition of substances from living organisms, under predetermined conditions. The latter indeed show something more, than what the physics of the system would predict by itself. This paper attempts to describe the crystallization phenomena in such a way that a rational connection appears between the processes of what is called «sensitive» crystallization and the modification of the medium of crystallization by adding something of biological origine.
